As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a key role in helping participants work towards their goals, gain confidence and live with more independence. You’ll work closely with participants and their families to create a safe and empowering environment that supports autonomy, community access, emotional wellbeing and skill building.

Qualifications and experience

Relevant qualification in Disability Support, Mental Health or a related field

Experience working with people with psychosocial disabilities

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Confident in problem solving and decision making

Current First Aid Certificate, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check

Solid reading and writing skills in English

Experience in the industry is essential

Must be reliable with strong ethics and values

A kind, caring and professional attitude is a must
Tasks and responsibilities

Provide personalised support with daily living tasks and self-care

Support participants to access community events, appointments and activities

Keep accurate records of participant progress and report any changes or concerns

Follow Care Compass policies and NDIS standards
