Classification: Grade 6.1
Salary: $95,000

Come and join a team that’s making a real difference to the health and quality of life to communities on the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands. Nganampa Health Council, an Aboriginal Controlled Community Health Organisation, is looking for a Maintenance Manager to coordinate the maintenance of NHC facilities on the APY Lands. To be successful in this role you must have a current Driver's Licence as extensive travel across the APY Lands is involved. This is a varied role which includes:
• Prioritise the maintenance needs of all buildings, plant and equipment that are based on the APY Lands, and the NHC office in Alice Springs.
• Manage NHC’s maintenance program and supervises Maintenance and General Support Officer; contractors and service providers.
• Develop and implement approved preventive and predictive maintenance plans and programs to ensure the continuity of NHC’s clinical service provision.
• Minimise equipment down time by developing and overseeing the implementation of effective breakdown management.
• Contribute to the development of maintenance policies, strategies, operational plans and programs.
• Obtain quotes and manage tenders for maintenance work
• Monitor maintenance budget and prepare regular maintenance reports.
• Ensure NHC property security and maintain the keying system on the APY Lands.
• Coordinate minor maintenance repairs and undertake hands on maintenance tasks.
• Participate as a member of the NHC Workplace Health Safety & Welfare Committee and provide action report to quarterly meetings.
ESSENTIAL
• Ability to interact effectively with people of different cultures.
• Demonstrated ability in maintenance management, including the application of computer based maintenance management systems.
• Well-developed communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
• Sound leadership, managerial skills with proven ability to make sound judgements, timely corrective action, and influence others to work effectively.
• Well-developed ability to prioritise and manage competing demands and deliver outcomes.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety, quality assurance, continuous improvement, and environmental management principles.
• Willingness to travel extensively for work purposes across the APY Lands
