Due to continuing growth in the residential construction sector, Shelford is offering an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Supervisor to join our residential construction team, where you will be focusing on managing our small projects, maintenance, and insurance repair work.
As a Small Projects & Maintenance Supervisor your role will include:

Assessing properties and determining what repair or insurance actions are required.

Preparing written assessment reports
-
Calculating accurate quotes for minor work or maintenance.

Regularly liaising with the Maintenance Coordinator in relation to the status of ongoing and upcoming maintenance and insurance repair work.

Liaising with the insurer in relation to required repairs for completed builds.

Providing site supervision for current residential projects as required
-
Managing all construction stages to ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget, and to Shelford’s high standards of workmanship

Monitoring outstanding post construction items

Scheduling and managing contractors, suppliers & materials for optimum workflow on site
-
Evaluating work on site and ensuring “Quality Standards” are achieved in accordance with contract documents and engineering details

Managing the site, including site safety and cleanliness, security, care of adjacent properties, road reserves & verges, liaising with adjoining property owners when necessary
-
Solving construction and repair issues with trades and suppliers in an efficient time frame
-
Maintaining effective communications with clients, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders
As the successful candidate you will have:

5+ years' of Site Supervision within residential construction
-
3 years’ of experience in the insurance industry will be highly regarded
-
Strong commitment to high standards of quality and efficiency
-
Capacity to work within tight time constraints

Strong time management and organisational skills
-
High level of initiative
-
Exceptional attention to detail
-
Excellent client and contractor management skills
-
Ability to create high quality documents such as assessment reports and insurance documentation
-
Excellent programming & planning skills
-
Sound understanding of the relevant legislation, standards and codes and the ability to interpret building plans, engineers reports and specifications

Effective communication and sound problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
-
Diploma of Building and Construction will be highly regarded
