Our Role
Located at our Attunga limestone quarry (near Tamworth in the NSW North West) this Quarry Leader position oversees all quarrying operations from a hands-on position in the quarry team. The Quarry Leader is also responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient management of all activities carried out on site.
As the mining team leader, the key focus areas of the role will include:
• Ensure safe and effective operation and maintenance of the mining, crushing, milling, and screening operations.
• Maximize safe production to deliver required limestone plant feed within specification.
• Lead and influence the performance of mining and operations team members and supervise contractors
• Contribute to growth projects.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following attributes and qualifications:
• Possess relevant experience in quarry operations
• Have demonstrated leadership within quarry/mining and/or processing operations.
• Hold a NSW Tier 2 Quarry Managers certificate
• Have experience with developing results-oriented teams in the areas of safety, and operational excellence.
• Have demonstrated ability to focus on a range of short, medium, and long-term priorities as required.
• Show a willingness to give hands-on support through the operation of mobile equipment and maintenance repairs.
• Have a current driver’s license and right to work in Australia (sponsorship arrangements can be considered).
