Remuneration: $75,011 to $87,199 pa + superannuation

As a People and Culture Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our People and Culture Business Partners by delivering strategic and operational HR services across all departments. We're looking for a dedicated individual with industry experience to assist with various tasks including recruitment, onboarding, support payroll matters and beyond. The role of a People and Culture Officer is responsible for:
- Support recruitment, selection, pre-employment checks, and onboarding, including contracts and relevant materials.
- Assist in interpreting Council’s Enterprise Agreement, policies, and employment conditions for leaders and employees.
- Coordinate off-boarding processes and manage Long Service Leave transfers in compliance with regulations.
- Handle team procurement, including raising purchase orders and processing invoices.
- Maintain staff records and organisational structure in TechOne and other systems.
- Participate in communication initiatives and support payroll adjustments, including backpays, terminations, and salary changes.
- Provide end-to-end payroll support/back-up as needed.
To be successful for this role you will require:
- Relevant qualification in HR or equivalent business-related field with experience in day-to-day HR, systems and processes.
- Demonstrated experience to plan, coordinate and prioritise a demanding workload, along with resourcefulness and initiative to develop solutions and complete objectives within given timeframes.
- Valid National Police Check, Valid Victorian Working with Children Check, Valid Driver’s Licence.
