Repair Coordinator
As a Repair Coordinator, you will report directly to the Operations Manager, playing a vital role in overseeing all repair and maintenance activities at Byford Equipment. Leading a skilled team, you will ensure our customers’ fleet equipment is maintained to the highest standard of safety, quality, and efficiency.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in the automotive or fabrication industries, particularly in tankers and road transport vehicles. Success in this position requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement by optimising processes, mentoring staff, and ensuring operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Include

Schedule and coordinate fleet services and repairs

Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders

Manage inventory and stock levels

Support the training and development of apprentices and tradespeople
-
Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and processes

Ensure team members follow safety protocols, work efficiently, and adhere to company standards.

Oversee accurate documentation and housekeeping related to fleet maintenance

Be available for call breakdown support
Successful Candidates Will Have:

Experience in the transport industry

Proven experience as a workshop supervisor

Strong computer skills

Leadership abilities with a focus on safety and productivity

Excellent problem-solving and planning skills
