Martha's Table is located at Martha Cove Marina, on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, close to Safety Beach. This prestigious venue incorporates a state of the art Restaurant, Bar, Specialty Food Grocer and a Wine Cellar.
We are seeking an experienced, passionate and creative Senior Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team.
For the right candidate, a Sous Chef position may be considered.
You will be working directly with our Head Chef and supporting the talented culinary team for the organization and execution of the kitchen's day-to-day operations.
Martha’s Table sources much of its produce from the Peninsula's finest farms, wineries and purveyors. The center of our offering is the region’s versatility while staying true to classic Mediterranean food and production methods.
The produce-driven Mediterranean-influenced cuisine is centered around a spectacular wood fire-powered Tuscan Grill. In our food journey, our aim is to deliver refined cooking techniques, focusing on produce and bold flavors alike.
Desired skills and experience:
• Experience in a similar role and kitchens
• A clear desire to learn and progress in the industry
• Sound knowledge and interest of food preparation technique
• Experience with a range of dining services, including A la carte, degustation and functions
• Strong organization and communication skills with the ability to work well within a team
• A collaborative approach with all key stakeholders.
• Ability to run own section independently.

• Preparation and cooking of dishes across all sections, including but not limited to Cold Larder, Grill, Pan.
• Work Direct with the Head Chef on developing our food offering
• Work during food service
• Manage, lead a friendly, dedicated, knowledgeable team
• Teach and mentor-apprentice chefs
