Our NTO office in Coffs Harbour has an opening for a motivated and reliable Allocations Supervisor.
An operational and hands on Allocations role which also provides crucial leadership support, with particular focus on delivering this national service on weekends.
You will lead a team of 4 Allocators and take responsibility for the successful running of our Linehaul operations.
This role will work on an equal time roster – 5 days on 4 days off | 4 days on 5 days off | 5 days on 5 days off - offering a balanced work-life dynamic.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Allocation of drivers and scheduled runs
- Communicating departure and arrival times with customers, depots, and drivers
- Knowledge of driver fatigue and mass in accordance with legislative requirements
- Maximising the utilisation of fleet to achieve optimal operational efficiency
- Implementation and enforcement of processes and business rules
- Ensuing drivers conduct is in line with company policies and procedures
- Achieving customer satisfaction and quality service by ensuring all "on time" driver performance
- Ensuring standards of service delivery through effective team leadership
To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience leading a team to deliver operational service delivery.
- Previous experience in a similar role and industry, ideally with temperature-controlled freight.
- Knowledge and monitoring of fatigue and mass in accordance with legislative requirements.
- Understanding of the chain of responsibility.
- A highly motivated, enthusiastic and positive leadership style.
- Great organisation, planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise competing objectives
- Clear and concise communication skills. with a friendly and helpful manner and ability to deal effectively with a diverse workforce.
- Sound knowledge of metropolitan road networks
- A mature attitude with a logical and methodical approach to your work.
- Flexibility to work an equal time roster which include weekends
