The Opportunity
As a People & Culture Advisor, you’ll play a pivotal role in implementing our people and culture strategy. Reporting to the Executive Manager, People & Culture, you’ll support our team to deliver solutions that attract, retain, and develop our people while ensuring an inclusive and engaging workplace.

Due to continued organisational growth and an increase in projects, we have a temporary position in our team to assist us with the implementation of our brand new HRIS, continuing to improve our onboarding and induction program and content, and assisting with employee relations matters.

Please note: This will be a 12 month max-term contract (up until March 2026) .

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders to provide advice and operational support on all aspects of people and culture, including performance, development, and engagement.
  • Assist with the implementation of key initiatives in employee wellbeing, cultural transformation and our brand new HR Information System.
  • Deliver talent acquisition strategies to future-proof our organisation.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships with staff at all levels.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • Champion continuous improvement, bringing innovative ideas to enhance our culture and employee experience.

About You
To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • Proven experience in a HR or People and Culture role.
  • Good working knowledge of HR practices, employment legislation, recruitment workers' compensation.
  • Knowledge and experience supporting the Senior People and Culture Advisor to manage employee relations matters.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire.
  • A strategic mindset with a passion for delivering practical, people-focused solutions.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Development, or a related field.
  • Bonus points for industry related experience!

Compliance Requirements

  • Current Blue Card (or willing to apply)
  • Criminal history screening - prescribed notice yellow card (or willing to apply)
  • Current Licensed Care Service (LCS)
  • Current valid Queensland driver license (unrestricted)
