About the company

Southern Launch, based in Adelaide, South Australia, offers infrastructure and operational support for orbital launches, suborbital missions, orbital re-entries, and range services. We have two multi-user launch sites: The Whalers Way Orbital Launch Complex and the Koonibba Test Range.

About the role

As a Regulatory Officer at Southern Launch, you'll play a crucial role in delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality launch and return services from our sites. Responsibilities include:

  • Authorisation Acquisition: Support efforts to obtain a diverse array of approvals, working closely with regulatory bodies such as the Australian Space Agency, Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), and other relevant authorities. Help secure authorisations from state and local government jurisdictions and other regulatory bodies as required.

  • Regulatory Liaison: Act as a point of contact at Southern Launch for regulatory matters for the relevant authorities. Establish and maintain positive relationships with regulatory bodies, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Develop and implement comprehensive regulatory compliance strategies to ensure adherence to applicable laws and standards. Stay abreast of changes in regulations, laws, and industry standards to proactively address potential compliance issues.

  • Compliance Support: Provide support for compliance measures related to launch operations, working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders. Foster a culture of compliance by developing and delivering training programs for employees.

About you

This position requires you to hold and maintain a valid Australian Defence Security Clearance.
