The Role
The Service Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of disability support services, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care that aligns with NDIS standards, compliance obligations and organisational goals. Reporting to the General Manager, this role leads a team responsible for coordinating the delivery of services to clients, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and client empowerment. The role also entails building and nurturing positive relationships with clients, families, and external stakeholders to ensure the services provided meet their needs and expectations, along with fulfilling the TNS mission of enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Service Delivery and Operational Management:

Oversee and manage the delivery of disability support services to ensure they meet client needs and NDIS requirements.

Monitor service performance and implement improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.

In collaboration with the rostering team, ensure timely and effective rostering of staff to meet client requirements.

Oversee the development and management of client care plans.

Ensure client funding and care services are in line with budgets.

Liaising with accommodation Team Leaders to understand any emerging needs or risk.

Working with Residential Officer to ensure the houses are safe.
2. Staff Leadership and Development:

Supervise Team Leaders and support workers, ensuring adherence to best practices and professional standards.

Provide training, coaching, and ongoing development to enhance staff performance.

Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, expectations, and feedback.
3. Client and Stakeholder Engagement:

Work closely with clients, families, and support networks to ensure services are person-centred and aligned with individual goals.

Address client concerns, feedback, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including NDIS coordinators and allied health professionals.
4. Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure services comply with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission standards and relevant legislation.

Monitor and report on incidents, risks, and service gaps, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.

Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.
5. Continuous Improvement and Reporting:

Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and implement best practices.

Assist in preparing reports and data analysis for service performance and compliance audits.

Support the Care Manager in service planning and organisational development initiatives.

Person Requirements
Essential:
-
Tertiary qualifications in nursing, social work, disability, business or related fields, or significant experience in the management of care services.

Experience in the development and delivery of services for people with a disability.
-
Knowledge and understanding of care sector funding and innovation funding and a well-developed knowledge of the NDIS is essential.

Leadership experience, including staff supervision and performance management to motivate, develop and guide direct reports.

General knowledge of industrial relations and how this affects day-to-day management of the team.

Excellent interpersonal skills, to effectively negotiate, collaborate and consult with key stakeholders.

Knowledge and understanding of the standards pertaining to the provision of care services.

Proven ability to think innovatively, affect change, and shape positive workplace culture.
