As an experienced sales consultant, you will naturally be on the lookout for new clients or opportunities however this role has no cold calling requirements.
Some of the duties will include:Proactively manage an existing portfolio of clientsIdentify new clients & develop sales plansPlan and execute a call/visit cycle for your portfolio and organise site meetingsDevelop new customer streams through various methods including networking, trade shows and responding to web-based enquiriesTake accurate site measurements and provide detailed sketches of sites and equipmentProduce pre-conceptual designs and revisions as requiredTake detailed briefs to enable design proposals to be createdPresent and close sales on concepts and maintenance worksLearn the product ranges to be able to educate clients on products and to also enable appropriate product suggestionsProvide sales forecasts and achieve budgets on a monthly basisWork closely with the Project Manager and Works team to achieve success Be heavily involved and genuinely interested in the whole process - design, manufacture & installationLearn the design elements to the role to become a well-rounded Sales and Design Consultant
A background with sales in construction, building supplies, home renovations or landscaping will be looked upon favourably.
The Minimum Requirements:Highly developed sales skills and the ability to grow a portfolio of customersA high level of communication and time management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe applicationsA genuine interest in learning the design side of this positionThe ability to be meticulous, accurate and analyticalStrong customer focus attitude with a consultative and solutions-based sales styleDemonstrated conceptual design and space planning skillsExperience with formal quoting, tender responses and contracts A current and valid driver's license (role includes some regional work and site visits)An autonomous worker who also enjoys and works well while being part of a team
If you are successful you will need to:Obtain a Working with Children cardProduce or obtain a National Police Clearance
Previous experience with AutoCAD/Microstation Bentley would be advantageous but is not essential.
