About Our Client:

Our client is a dynamic and growing player in the hospitality industry, operating a diverse portfolio of venues across Australia. With an eye on innovation, they are now seeking a tech-savvy and commercially astute Head of Finance to lead their finance function through the next phase of strategic growth.
The Opportunity:

This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior finance leader with deep experience in multi-site hospitality, retail, or similarly complex environments. You’ll be responsible for end-to-end financial management, reporting directly to the CEO, and working closely with the CCO on strategic finance initiatives. This role offers autonomy, leadership, and the chance to shape a future-ready finance function at the forefront of AI and automation.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead all financial operations including reporting, forecasting, compliance, and controls across a multi-site business.
  2. Drive month-end, quarterly, and annual reporting processes, delivering accurate and insightful financials.
  3. Champion the use of AI and automation tools to enhance forecasting, cost control, and decision-making.
  4. Oversee tax, audit, and regulatory compliance, ensuring strong governance and minimal risk exposure.
  5. Implement real-time dashboards, improve systems, and elevate finance team capability.
  6. Act as a strategic business partner to operations, marketing, and procurement, embedding financial insight into business decisions.
  7. Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
About You:
  1. CA/CPA qualified with 10+ years of experience in financial leadership roles, ideally within hospitality or high-volume, multi-site environments.
  2. Strong expertise in audit, tax, reporting, and financial controls.
  3. Proven track record of implementing AI-driven financial automation and ERP optimisation.
  4. Commercially minded, hands-on, and capable of leading both operational and strategic finance functions.
  5. A confident communicator who thrives in fast-paced, agile environments.
