As part of The Walt Disney Company’s Studio & Integrated Marketing team, the Social Media Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day publishing and monitoring of all Disney, Star Wars and 20th Century AUNZ social media channels.

With a focus on social strategy and tone of voice, your key responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:


  • Develop the social brand strategy in alignment with overarching brand strategy
  • Collaborate with the Content Executive on content ideation & execution of the social brand strategy
  • Tactical day-to-day sourcing, preparation and distribution of content to social channels
  • Reporting and Analysis of social media results across to form learnings and recommendations
  • Identify and manage a portfolio of key third-party partners for content collaborations, with consideration to brand amplification
  • Play an active role in local campaigns including capturing content first-hand at local events, screenings and activations

As a creative, detail oriented, and data driven thought leader, you actively stay across industry trends, and are proactive in bringing ideas to the broader team that contribute to the success of the local campaigns and channels you manage. You love to work collaboratively with wider teams and are comfortable adapting to changing requirements across brands. You will also have:


  • Proven competency and superior knowledge of social platforms, tools, and performance tracking
  • Excellent writing and copy skills with the ability to translate traditional marketing content into socially led conversations
  • Passion for storytelling, listening to what the community has to say, and providing engaging experiences in the social space
  • Strong work ethic and high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and creative ideas on tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to use sound judgement to ensure content is within brand guidelines
