Position Overview:

The Appointments Administrator at Keilor Basketball Association plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of all KBA competitions and special events by efficiently managing the appointments of technical officials. This position is responsible for completing official appointments, handling rejections, and making necessary changes to the officials' roster. Additionally, the Appointments Administrator will meet with the appointments team weekly during competitions to ensure that appointments align with KBA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Appointment Coordination:
    • Effectively complete appointments of technical officials to all KBA competitions, leagues, and special events.
    • Collaborate closely with the Appointments Team to ensure timely and accurate scheduling of officials.
    • Maintain a comprehensive database of available officials and their availability.
  2. Roster Management:
    • Manage rejections from officials and make required adjustments to the officials' roster.
    • Address any scheduling conflicts and ensure that appointments are resolved promptly.
    • Communicate changes to officials and relevant stakeholders.
  3. Compliance and Guidelines:
    • Ensure that all technical official appointments adhere to KBA guidelines, rules, and regulations.
    • Collaborate with the Technical Official Program Development Lead to ensure that appointments align with development pathway requirements.
  4. Weekly Meetings:
    • Hold weekly meetings with the appointments team during competition periods to review appointments and address any issues or concerns.
    • Ensure that the appointments process is running smoothly and efficiently.
    • Provide feedback and guidance to the appointments team as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in sports administration or scheduling is preferred.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and database management.
