Description:
The Senior ICT Procurement Officer will contribute to the ICT procurement function, providing strategic analysis and expert advice to support the procurement of ICT products and services. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing procurement plans and strategies
- Engaging with the market early to identify the best procurement pathways
- Planning and developing tenders, including RFI/FRQ/ITO processes
- Drafting and negotiating contracts in alignment with government requirements
- Monitoring probity throughout the procurement process
- Coordinating and managing procurement activities for ICT projects
- Providing expert advice and guidance to stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures
- Managing end-to-end procurement and strategic planning for ICT solutions
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ICT procurement, with a strong ability to manage complex projects and collaborate with multiple stakeholders. Key attributes include:
- Demonstrated expertise in ICT procurement and contract management
- Prior experience leading large-scale ICT procurement projects, preferably in government or IT organisations
- Proven ability to develop and coordinate RFI/FRQ/ITO processes
- Experience in developing and negotiating QITC or GITC contracts
- Strong understanding of procurement planning, tender development, and evaluation
- Recent ICT procurement experience in a government or large IT organisation
- Relevant QLD Government Procurement certification (Level 2 or higher preferred)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
- Self-motivated, results-driven, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
