Your Opportunity:

The position of Paediatric Intensive Care Registrar will:

  • Provide medical care and receive training in intensive care medicine within a tertiary children's hospital. The casemix of QCH provides registrars with exposure to the full range of subspecialties including Neurointensive care, trauma & burns, cardiac intensive care and ECLS, liver transplant, and oncology and BMT.
    In addition, registrars may have the opportunity to work for the Paediatric Retrieval Service (CHQRS). All registrars are rostered for protected education time and are supported to be involved in quality improvement projects, as well as research projects with the support of the Paediatric Critical Care Research Group.
    We support registrars attending a variety of locally run courses including Paeds Basic, Advanced Paediatric Intensive Care Simulation (APICS), the ECLS course, and the Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) course.
