A bit about the role

Conduct inspections, record, and report on the condition of Council assets within the Road Management Plan to ensure their proper maintenance and functionality.

Assist in developing, implementing, and utilising Council's Asset Management System to enhance data management and improve asset knowledge.

What you’ll deliver

  • Asset Inspections & Reporting: Perform reactive and proactive inspections, record defects, and report maintenance work using Council's corporate software systems.
  • Collaboration & Customer Service : Work collaboratively across the organisation to deliver excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintenance Insights & Support : Provide valuable insights to supervisors and staff regarding maintenance issues within assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Proactive Inspection Scheduling : Assist in preparing and organizing proactive inspection schedules.
  • Minor Maintenance Tasks: Undertake minor maintenance work as directed, in line with operational requirements.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience in asset inspection, recording, and reporting within a Local Government environment.
  • Understanding of the Road Management Plan and other relevant legislations and/or Acts.
  • Sound communication skills, including written, verbal, and active listening, with the ability to adapt style and approach to meet customer needs
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check and Functional Assessment (Medical/physio)
  • A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
