About the Role:
The Senior Project and Policy Officer plans, coordinates and manages the delivery of projects relating to the regulation of water use and develops and negotiates supporting policies. The role is also responsible for supporting the delivery and effective project management of the Telemetry Uplift Program or TUP (a Commonwealth funded program to implement telemetry on licensed water meters in the River Murray). The role will contribute to all phases of the project life cycle, including, but not limited to, concept development; feasibility investigations; business case development; implementation planning; project management and reporting; collaborating with and between project teams; supporting program governance arrangements; and supporting stakeholder engagement activities.

Contract: for up 30 June 2027
Desirable Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in natural resources, law or community engagement
Special Conditions:
- May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
- Some intra/interstate travel involving overnight absences and out of hours work may be required.
- The incumbent may be required to perform work of a similar nature appropriate to the classification.
- Must be prepared to be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- This role has been designated as a Position of Trust pursuant to the standards required in the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework. Remuneration: ASO6 ($98,478 min - $104,165 max p.a.)
