Vidico are seeking a talented and versatile Motion Designer to join our creative production team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of industry experience and hold relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor of Multimedia, Bachelor of Digital Media, Multimedia Design, or Interactive Media.
You'll be a highly competent motion designer with a strong foundation in video editing, ready to work across a variety of projects — from animations and motion graphics to sizzle reels, educational content, and branded campaigns. Your role will be to bring creative concepts to life through compelling visuals and dynamic design and animation.
You'll be joining our post-production team, collaborating with a talented group of designers, editors, and producers. From idea to sketch to screen, you'll work on projects for some of the world's most innovative brands.
Qualified applicants will:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Collaborate closely with both clients and Vidico's creative team
- Apply strong creative and organisational skills
- Have a solid background in design and motion design principles
- Interpreting client briefs and leading the creative direction
- Producing high-quality commercial video content and explainer projects
- Developing and executing bespoke design and animation concepts
- Designing in Adobe Illustrator or Figma — recreating and building layered designs for animation
- Animating in Adobe After Effects — applying your 2D animation skills to animate user interfaces, mask layers, manage pre-compositions, and export assets for final delivery
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- A Bachelor's degree in Multimedia, Digital Media, Multimedia Design, or Interactive Media (or equivalent qualification)
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Illustrator & Premiere) and Figma
- Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines
- High level of organisation and adaptability
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in deliverables
- Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal
- A solid understanding of industry trends, best practices, and emerging tech
- Confidence in articulating creative ideas and design rationale
