About the opportunity:

Position: Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator

Vacancy: Fixed term temporary full-time, up to 30/06/2027

Location: Health Safety and Wellness, Townsville

The purpose of this role is to coordinate work related and non-work related injury and illness rehabilitation and return to work services across the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS).

The role has a focus on early intervention and improving safe and sustainable return to work outcomes to reduce workplace injury, claims costs and durations. enhancing staff health and wellbeing.

The incumbent will provide advice and support to staff, line managers and senior management, as well as partnering with external stakeholders to minimise the impact of injury/illness with the aim of returning injured workers to their pre-injury role.

  • Salary range: $3481.60 to $3835.70 p.f. (AO4)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

  • Whilst not mandatory, completion of an approved rehabilitation and return to work coordinator training course will be highly
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted including criminal history clearance.
