What You'll Do
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven leader to oversee the Finance, Risk & Governance branch, ensuring effective financial management, governance, and compliance at RBGV. In this role, you will provide expert financial leadership, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, taxation, and audit processes to support corporate objectives and drive efficiencies. As a key member of the Corporate Services Leadership Team and Senior Leadership Group, you will play a critical role in shaping organisational strategy, fostering a high-performing, customer-focused culture, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards. You will establish strong business partnerships with executive leaders, providing financial insights and governance expertise to support effective decision-making. This role also oversees risk management frameworks, statutory compliance, and board governance, ensuring that policies, reporting, and internal controls align with best practices. Working closely with the Director and Chief Executive and the Chief Operating Officer, you will manage board secretariat functions, oversee audit activities, and contribute to the preparation of the Annual Report. With a commitment to integrity, accountability, and collaboration, you will lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while upholding RBGV's values and ensuring excellence in financial, governance, and risk management practices.

What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will be a CPA/CA-qualified finance leader with extensive experience in financial management, risk, and governance within a corporate or government setting. You will have a strong background in budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and strategic planning, with expertise in regulatory requirements such as the Financial Management Act 1994. As a strategic partner to the executive and board, you will provide financial insights, risk management frameworks, and governance expertise to support informed decision-making. You will also lead a high-performing team, fostering accountability and professional development and drive best-practice financial management, ensure compliance, and enhance organisational performance through strategic leadership and collaboration.
