Description:
A part time medical receptionist and customer services officer position within the customer services department.The successful applicant must be able to liaise with patients in a compassionate manner and provide a high level of patient care, receive and convey messages verbally, in writing and electronically, answer the telephone in a courteous and professional manner, make appointments, process service payments according to the practice billing policy and general clerical duties.
We are looking for a medical receptionist with the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality, excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people, sound computer literacy and experience working as part of a busy department in a medical environment.
This is a part time position of 34.4 hours per week, Monday to Friday rostered between 7.30am and 6.00pm and a Saturday morning shift from 8.00am to 12.00pm.
The successful applicant will be responsible for answering telephones, dealing with customer enquiries, result calls and document typing.
Applicants must have experience in providing customer service with the following skills:
- Deal with customers in a professional manner.
- Ability to use positive language
- Clear communication skills
- Provide information to customers in a competent manner
- Be pro-active in dealing with customers
- Multi-task
- Good typing including MS Office.
- Work co-operatively in a busy department.
