We also provide a range of business and corporate services.As the Senior Marketing and Communications Officer, in the Strategic Communication (SC) unit and Strategic Communication Data (SCD) directorate, you’ll provide senior level support to the development, delivery, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based awareness, education and engagement strategies that make a real, positive difference to work health and safety, electrical safety, workers’ compensation and industrial relations issues for the people of Queensland.
What You Can Expect In This Role
As the Senior Marketing and Communications Officer, in the Strategic Communication (SC) unit and Strategic Communication Data (SCD) directorate, you'll provide senior level support to the development, delivery, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based awareness, education and engagement strategies that make a real, positive difference to work health and safety, electrical safety, workers' compensation and industrial relations issues for the people of Queensland.
Your contribution
This role is primarily responsible for delivering best practice and impactful marketing and communication strategies for the Office of Industrial Relations. You will support your team leader and manager to deliver OIR's external communication program, including multi-modal awareness raising and behavioural change campaigns that support Regulator strategies. You will be a trusted contributor to the team, that role models positive behaviour and contributes to our high-performance team culture.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Lead and contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of education, awareness and engagement activities and resources that deliver key messages to diverse audiences, supporting both OIR and whole of government strategic priorities and business needs.
- Support the manager to deliver OIR's external communications program, including multi-modal awareness raising and behavioural change campaigns that support Regulator strategies.
- Support and contribute to team governance practices through consistent practice and role modelling.
- Support other SC team members to implement stakeholder, awareness and engagement activities.
- Actively engage in a multi-disciplinary, agile team environment.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with team members, OIR business units as well as other agencies and external stakeholders as required to deliver awareness and engagement services in a timely manner and secure their assistance with engagement activities as needed.
- Provide expert and timely advice to Team Leader, Manager and Director as required on project progress and issues that may impact on service delivery.
- Ensure work is of a professional, consistent quality, to budget and in accordance with SC standard operating procedures and Queensland Government writing and style guides.
