Junior Business Analyst
About The Role
As a Junior Business Analyst at Coal Mines Insurance (CMI), you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Business Analyst in implementing and evaluating operational processes critical to the CMI Scheme’s compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the continued success of CMI, working closely with experienced professionals while developing your skills in business analysis and compliance.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Include
- Analyse claims, policy/billing and data to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Identify emerging issues and recommend improvements to enhance performance
- Prepare reports on payment leakage, data errors and regulatory non-compliance
- Support the team with data-driven insights and suggesting process improvements
- Help develop strategies to optimise systems and ensure regulatory alignment
Your education, experience and skills will include:
- Strong working knowledge of the NSW workers compensation legislation applicable to coal miners
- Experience in workers compensation claims management
- Highly developed analytical, conceptual and data analysis skills with a keen eye for detail
- Experience working with raw data, interpreting and creating meaning for business decisions
- Demonstrated ability to liaise in a professional manner with a range of internal and external clients/stakeholders
