The Role
We are seeking a charismatic and efficient Restaurant Host to join our team at Mid Air, located in the heart of Melbourne Place. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating an exceptional dining experience from the moment they arrive.
Job Description
- Welcome guests and manage the flow of our sophisticated dining room
- Manage reservations and coordinate seating arrangements
- Guide guests to their tables and provide menus
- Handle reservations and walk-ins with grace and efficiency
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth service
- Monitor dining room activity and manage wait times accurately
- Maintain an inviting atmosphere in our reception area
- Assist with phone inquiries and special requests
- Handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently
- Previous hosting experience in upscale dining establishments
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-end environment
- Immaculate presentation and a positive, can-do attitude
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
