The Project Officer, Sustainability Performance and Engagement will provide support for the ongoing delivery of strategies, governance, data systems and standards for environmental sustainability initiatives and programs across Queensland Health. This includes, but not limited to:

  • Supporting implementation and use of appropriate performance benchmarks and targets, and state-wide reporting of progress against these performance benchmarks.
  • Supporting the development and roll-out of fit for purpose environmental sustainability practices, programs and reporting across the health system
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of strategic partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders and to communicate and promote the objectives of the Office of Hospital Sustainability.

    Role fit

    The essential requirements for this role are:

    • Demonstrated experience in supporting the development or delivery of performance benchmarks, targets, data management and reporting to support system-wide benefits for a large and complex health or service delivery organisation. Experience working with environmental sustainability issues is desirable but not essential.
    • Proven ability in the development and delivery of visually effective reports for non-technical audiences and strategic communication activities to promote and advocate for the business objectives and agenda.
    • Demonstrated experience in engagement and empowerment activities with key stakeholders in health and other sectors and awareness raising through education material and promotion campaigns and events.
    • High level interpersonal skills to build and maintain strategic relationships and partnerships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
