Some Of The Key Responsibilities Of The Role Are
Fulfill role accountabilities in accordance with West Moreton Health's core values, policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.Respond to general reception inquiries by managing incoming telephone calls, accurately transferring messages, and providing timely information to support patients and staff. Assist and direct visitors with professionalism by accessing patient information and delivering an effective front-counter service.Collect, verify, and update mandatory patient data, including demographics, Medicare details, and registrations, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining data integrity.Coordinate patient flow, appointments, and associated resources by liaising with staff to facilitate timely bookings, transportation arrangements, and follow-ups.Maintain proficiency in hospital information systems to effectively support workflow, data management, and operational requirements.Prioritise tasks efficiently, work independently, and contribute to team objectives to meet organisational goals and deadlines.Handle customer and patient inquiries with professionalism, ensuring patient confidentiality while adhering to Workplace Health and Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity, and Anti-Discrimination practices.
About You
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Strong ability establishing work priorities, meeting deadlines, coordinating tasks and workflow and adapting as required to meet the needs of a changing work environment.High level written, verbal and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal and external customers and stakeholders at various levels.Advanced customer service experience relevant to the public health setting including the demonstration of patience, understanding, confidentiality and a positive approach that includes the ability to deescalate difficult situations.Highly accurate utilisation of Microsoft Office 365 suite and corporate/patient information systems and databases which includes the ability to retrieve and interpret performance information.
