Description:
The Department of Justice (DoJ) is embarking on a digital transformation guided by the ICT strategy that will see a range of legacy systems replaced with core and common platforms. This will bring a shift in the way the ITS Teams function and operate, requiring new skills, new processes, new ways of working and the adoption of new technologies. A corporate services review is underway to consider the broader operating model of centralised functions within the department which will also bring significant change to the function.This position will be at the forefront of this change, overseeing and delivering a program of organisational development, realignment and communication activities to enable ITS to effectively navigate this transition and lead the broader organisation through this transformation journey.
- Strategically direct and deliver the program of work associated within the Digital Enablement Program to ensure effective and efficient scope, design and implementation to meet established goals, while also identifying opportunities for digital innovation.
- Drive initiatives, alignment, service design and business improvement activities.
- Advise on the best IT solution to support an optimal service delivery model for a digital transformation program that is a dependency for other digital transformation programs.
- Drive change so that performance and customer experience match desired service standards and objectives
- Ensure effective program management, financial management assurance, business continuity, disaster recovery and performance, and ensure the program meets delivery timeframes and budget.
- Undertake best practice procurement processes and draw on personal experience and expertise to present clear and independent advice throughout a procurement process.
- Establish productive and collaborative relationships with a wide variety of individuals, groups, stakeholders, and business clients, including the judiciary and non-judiciary stakeholders.
- Provide operational leadership and management for members of the team, including contractors such that cohesiveness, productivity and transfer of knowledge and skills to the organisation is maximised.
