Your opportunity
As the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Liaison Officer you will provide service linkages for client medical, healthcare, social and emotional wellbeing as well as advocate and liaise for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. You will provide linkages in the Primary and Community Care team and the broader South West HHS hospital, residential care, multipurpose health service and community clinic settings, as well as supporting access to specialist services and non-government agencies both within and external to the region.
This position is required to travel and work across South West Hospital and Health Services facilities including but not limited to Injune, Mitchell, Surat and Wallumbilla. Overnight travel may be required on some occasions.
