St Kilda Football Club is seeking an experienced Insights Analyst to join our dynamic team and help drive impactful consumer (B2C) and commercial (B2B) analysis and insights that will shape our club’s campaign and partnership outcomes. Reporting to the Head of Consumer Operations and Data, the Insights Analyst will provide expert data analytics services to support data-driven decision-making across the club. ABOUT THE ROLE:
As the Insights Analyst, you will:
- Partner with leaders and key stakeholders to design and execute strategic operational plans using data and insights that directly drive improved outcomes in customer acquisition, existing customer growth, and commercial partnerships.
- Lead end-to-end analytics projects, from identifying business questions to presenting actionable results that support strategic decision-making and drive the long-term success of the Club.
- Implement quality assurance and validation processes to ensure that insights and data are accurate, reliable, and aligned with our One Club vision.
- Provide expert guidance on leveraging data and insights to enhance decision-making processes, contributing to the sustainable growth of the Club for future generations.
- Develop and maintain impactful dashboards, reports, and presentations focused on stakeholder outcomes, ensuring all relevant parties have access to clear and concise insights.
- Contribute to the creation and nurturing of a data-driven decision-making culture across the Club, ensuring that insights are integrated into daily operations and strategies.
- Promote data literacy and governance practices, advocating for a consistent and structured approach to data usage across the organization.
ABOUT YOU
Must Have Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in one of data science, computer science, engineering, or other relevant fields.
- Extensive experience with data warehouses (Snowflake), CRM and Marketing Automation Systems (Salesforce Marketing Cloud highly regarded).
- Strong knowledge of Snowflake security, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
- Proficient in SQL for data querying and analytical purposes.
- Valid Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain one.
Desirable Experience:
- Prior experience in consumer and marketing analytics, insights, and strategy, with a focus on both B2C and B2B.
- An understanding of the sports industry, ticketing systems, and customer data platforms.
- Experience in migration processes to Snowflake and using Snowpipe for auto ingestion of data.

- Data Storytelling & Visualisation: You have a passion for storytelling through data and can build clear, impactful visualizations that drive actionable insights.
- User-Centric Approach: You can gather and translate user requirements for data-related queries from non-technical audiences, ensuring that insights align with business needs.
- Promoter of Data Literacy: You actively promote a culture of data-driven decision-making, driving awareness of the importance of data literacy and governance practices across the Club.
