Description:
The purpose of the Import Officer is to manage the seamless movement of goods across international borders while ensuring compliance with customs regulations and trade requirements. This role is critical to the efficiency of freight operations, involving the coordination of shipments, documentation management, and communication with clients, shipping lines, and customs brokers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Imports both air and sea freight processes, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Responsibilities
Overall, the key areas of responsibility include (but are not limited to):
- Manage end-to-end freight forwarding operations, including air and sea shipments, documentation, and compliance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and service providers to ensure seamless logistics.
- Provide proactive shipment updates and resolve operational issues efficiently to minimise delays.
- Optimise processes and identify improvements to enhance service delivery and operational performance.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring client needs are met with tailored logistics solutions.
Your Profile
To be considered for this role you will have/ be:
- 3 -5 years’ experience in Freight Forwarding is essential.
- Essential experience in import operations across sea and air freight.
- Proficiency using Cargowise.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
