The Opportunity

Are you ready to make a positive impact for South Australia's primary industries and regional communities? Join our Industry, Strategy and Partnerships Division at the Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA) as a Principal Policy Officer.

• Lead with Vision: Provide high level leadership and ensure the successful delivery of complex and strategic policy initiatives and reforms.
• Drive Change: Offer exceptional policy support to the Minister, Chief Executive and Executive Director, influencing key decisions.
• Shape the Future: Monitor and identify policy implications of emerging issues, and actively contribute to policy development across various agencies.
• Build Strong Networks: Establish and maintain key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, driving collaboration and innovation.

Special Conditions

• Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.
• Opportunity for up to 12 months.
• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

Requirements

• Possession of a current driver’s licence and willingness to drive.
• Out of hours work and inter / intrastate travel may be required.
• You acknowledge your work, health and safety obligations and our expectations.
• The incumbent will be required to contribute to whole-of-agency working groups developing PIRSA policy responses to significant and emerging issues, as required.

Remuneration

ASO7 - $108,109 min - $116,864 max per annum, plus superannuation
