Join Baker Hughes as a Field Specialist - Oilfield Chemical, providing field support and ensuring efficient operations.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing field support to assigned projects.
- Monitoring production chemical programs for impact on production, integrity, and the environment.
- Performing optimization of production chemical programs.
- Undertaking hydrocarbon, water, and gas sampling for routine laboratory analysis.
- Maintaining laboratory and site application equipment and managing site inventories.
- Assisting with diagnosis and troubleshooting of production upsets and issues.
- Liaising with field operational personnel to communicate daily tasks and progress.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Ideally have 2+ years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry or in a commercial laboratory; fresh graduates are welcome.
- Have a background understanding of the proper application of production chemicals in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Understand production processes and systems from downhole to pipeline distribution.
- Be proficient in common Microsoft computer-based programs.
- Have the ability to work and communicate well with others.
- Have a good focus on all aspects of HSE.
Compensation & Benefits
This role offers normal office working hours (Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM) with flexibility discussed directly with your supervisor. The role will be based at the customer’s office and site.
