Our client is seeking an experienced medical receptionist to work on casual basis with a view to permanency.About The Role
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to
- Greeting and providing support to patients
- Answering phone calls and dealing with patient queries
- Booking appointments and updating patient information
- Dealing and assisting with doctors and Nurses
- Administration support and other ad hoc duties
- Processing consultation payments and Medicare rebates
- Triage emergencies when and if they occur
- Always maintain confidentiality of patient personal and financial information
- Excellent customer service, confidentiality and high ethics standard are a must in this role
- This is a long-term position with excellent job security to work ideally 3 days per week.
- Hours of work would generally be 9am to 4pm. No weekend work or shift work requirement.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly and confident personality
- Well-presented and exceptional commitment to patient care/service. Previous experience will be well regarded
- Highly organised, attention to detail and aptitude for multi-tasking
- Fast learner and competence in using Microsoft Office
- Experience in using Best Practice patient management system or equivalent is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team
