The Gig
With a strong pipeline of exciting projects on deck, a fantastic opportunity has opened for a proactive, highly organised, and detail orientated Site Foreman to join the team. You will oversee the construction of synthetic sports surfaces, including tennis courts, cricket wickets, and playgrounds.
You will ply your trade to manage site operations, coordinate resources, and supervise the team to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will focus on maintaining quality, resolving challenges, and enforcing safety standards, playing a key role in delivering successful projects.
Based in Sydney and reporting directly to the Construction Manager, you will be trusted with:
- Leading and managing the construction and resurfacing of synthetic sports surfaces.
- Supervising and coordinating workers to ensure efficient task completion and quality results.
- Maintaining quality control and ensuring compliance with client specifications.
- Enforcing safety protocols to create a secure and compliant work environment.
- Communicating with clients on-site and providing regular progress updates.
- Overseeing the procurement and maintenance of materials and equipment.
- Managing project timelines to meet deadlines and client requirements.
- Resolving on-site challenges quickly to maintain project momentum.
- Training and mentoring crew members to develop skills and uphold standards.
- Documenting project progress and reporting updates to senior management.
You will have at least 2 years of experience in landscape, civil or construction with a relevant trade qualification. This role could be suited to a leading hand or foreman from the civil, landscape or construction industry.
- White Card (or equivalent for construction site safety).
- Valid driving licence
- Flexibility to work away from home on small projects outside of Sydney
- Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices.
