Mango Hill State School are seeking two (2) focused and dynamic educators to join our dedicated leadership team. Our focus is to nurture successful students, create abundant opportunities, and empower communities through innovative educational strategies.

The Head of Department (Curriculum) roles are available on a temporary full-time basis for Semester 2, 2024 unless otherwise determined.

There are two (2) Head of Department (Curriculum) full-time temporary positions available. The roles are to commence in Semester 2, 2025 until 12 December 2025 unless otherwise determined.

Mango Hill State School caters for children from Prep to Year 6. Mango Hill is a rapidly growing suburb located in the Moreton Bay Region, just 35 kilometers north of Brisbane, Queensland. It offers a family-friendly environment with a mix of residential, commercial, and green spaces.

About The Role

As the Head of Department (Curriculum), your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the curriculum areas or whole school program in developing and committing to a shared vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Engage in lifelong learning and professional development.
  • Build partnerships with students, parents, agencies, and community groups.
  • Be future-oriented and strategic.
  • Understand legislation and policies impacting on the school department, students and staff.
  • Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the curriculum areas or whole school program to achieve goals.
