Description:

A vacancy exists for a highly motivated Head of Department, Student Engagement to join the senior leadership team at Kingston State School on a temporary full-time basis, for a period of 12 months, unless otherwise determined.

Within This Role You Will Have The Opportunity To

  • Provide leadership and guidance for the implementation of innovative measures aimed at improving student learning outcomes and engagement;
  • Monitor students’ individual performance and behaviour and develop and implement intervention strategies where necessary.

About The Role

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide leadership and guidance for the implementation of innovative measures aimed at improving student learning outcomes and attendance in schools where a significant percentage of students may have a disadvantaged background, ensuring quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Where requested, prepare all data returns for senior management.
  • Monitor students' individual performance and behaviour and develop and implement intervention strategies where necessary.
  • Communicate and work with parents, higher education institutes and State Schools Division to improve learning outcomes, student achievements and attendance.
  • Work with, and provide tools for, the regional executive team and teachers to utilise in relation to student achievement and attendance.
