Description:
The Head Coach of the Southern Performance Centre (and the SLC Aquadot Club) will be responsible for leading and developing a successful Performance Centre program including all squads and coaches. This position will be critical to the development of Southern NSW and will mentor identified athletes and coaches to support the vision of SNSW to elevate the performance of our state.
The Southern Performance Centre is delivered via a partnership between Swimming NSW, the NSW Institute of Sport and the Sutherland Shire Council and provides an exciting opportunity for a world class coach to build on the strong program foundations that have been developed over the last 12 months. With over 400 club members, growing interest in the program, and a strong upwards performance trajectory this Performance Centre provides the ideal environment for an ambitious coach to lead the next generation of talent.
The Head Coach will support the progression of program athletes, transitioning talented age group swimmers into national team members as we head towards a home Games in 2032.
We are seeking an experienced high performance coach that has demonstrated experience in developing a successful club program and who ideally has either produced national open team representatives or has worked as an assistant coach within a world class program that has produced national representatives.
Essential Requirements
- First Aid Certificate
- Current Provide/Perform CPR
- Performance Swimming Coach Accreditation
- Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
Desirable Criteria
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
