About the role
An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Occupational Therapist Senior Clinician to work within the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service - Eastern.
The Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service caters for babies, children and adolescents who require specialist interdisciplinary rehabilitation. The young people supported by VPRS are recovering from acquired brain injuries, medical/surgical intervention or require tone management or early diagnostics, surveillance and support for Cerebral Palsy. Services are provided in collaboration with the medical and allied health team, in either the Community Rehabilitation Centre or in the child’s community
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Current Occupational Therapy registration with AHPRA
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a Multi Disciplinary team team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence
Candidates with the following characteristics will be regarded favourably:
1. Experience specifically in the field of Paediatric Rehabilitation
2. Certification in the administration and scoring of the Assisting Hand Assessment (AHA), Hand Assessment for Infants (HAI),
3. Experience in the administration of Hammersmith Infant Neurological Examination (HINE)
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
