About The Role:
We are looking for Development Officers to join our team on a fixed term contract - with flexibility for this to be offered as an entry-level opportunity, or to an experienced candidate with the right skillset. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality planning assessment services that are responsive to the interests and needs of our community. Providing accurate and consistent advice, you will demonstrate a care and commitment to achieving outcomes. You will also enjoy working as a constructive team member to positively role model our organisational values.
About You:
We are seeking applications from candidates who bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification - this may be in Planning, Law, Architecture or an allied discipline.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with a strong focus on delivering excellence in customer experience.
- The ability to manage competing deadlines and actively prioritise work to ensure a proactive approach within this dynamic environment.
- An ability to build and maintain personable and professional relationships with a positive outlook.
- Good negotiating ability, providing a high level of confidence to all those we interact with.

The Development Services team plays an integral role in shaping the future of our vibrant City. The delivery of successful development outcomes that provide for improved streetscapes, greening and environmental outcomes along with housing choice and a range of retail, commercial, industrial and community uses is fundamental. The Detail:
We are offering up to 4 positions on a full-time, fixed-term basis. One contract is for 12 months, the remaining are for 6 months.
Dependent of the skills and knowledge of the candidate, the role will range from Level 3 (starting base salary $83,426.72) to Level 5 (starting base salary $100,774.96), per annum (pro-rata) + Super + Annual Leave Loading.
