About the opportunity
Position: Patient Services Officer - Demand Response Unit
Vacancy: Fixed Term Temporary Part-time up to 30/06/2025, 56 hours per fortnight (with the possibility of extension - not exceeding 12 months in total)
Location: Wards Administration, Townsville University Hospital

Pro rata remuneration package based on full-time equivalent value of up to $8138 p.m.
- Salary range: $38.81 - $43.16 p.h. (AO3)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

About the role
- Deliver exceptional person-centred customer service to patients, their families, and the public, assisting and directing patients, visitors, and colleagues in an effective and courteous manner.
- Build good relationships with patients, their families and work colleagues by using strong communication and negotiation skills to understand customers' needs and deliver a service that meets their needs with adherence to policy and standards.
- Access and utilise a wide variety of relevant patient and corporate information systems to accurately record all demographic and other mandatory patient information relative to work environment.
