Due to one of the Payroll team members being promoted into the accounts department, this large and rapidly growing national Manufacturing organisation with proud 40 + years of history, is on the hunt for a new Payroll superstar to support the Payroll Manager and help mentor the team - this is a rare opportunity be become the future 2IC!They are also currently going through a Kronos implementation project, together with other process improvements, with the intention of modernising the business across all departments to reach the next level.

- Weekly payroll for 1,200 employees - team of 4
- Ensure all payrolls are maintained and processed accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensure the Payroll System (GreenTree) is accurate and maintained as per employment contracts, Enterprise Agreements and other legislative requirements.
- Ensure all payroll activities are in compliance with FWO, ATO and state government regulations
- Ensure any discrepancies in the payroll are resolved promptly
- Responsible for processing day to day leave, PAYG, payroll tax and superannuation.
- Provides regular payroll information, reports and analysis and ad hoc data as require.
- Manage complex payroll queries and escalate issues where required
- Records instances of over/underpayments and collaborate with relevant HR stakeholders to coordinate repayment
- Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and payroll regulations
- Works collaboratively with team members
- Works under regular supervision reporting progress and outcomes
- Able to organise own work, manage time and contribute to work planning
- Comply with all legal requirements, systems, policies, procedures, instructions and any other guidelines or rules which are introduced to protect the health and safety of employees and contractors, the company’s assets, the general public and the environment as outlined in the relevant Health, Safety and Employment Responsibility Policies
- Any other duties as directed consistent with this role
- 5 years end to end Payroll experience
- Weekly payroll experience - ideally
- Similar, complex payroll industry background with multiple award interpretation knowledge - Manufacturing, Construction, Retail, FMCG etc.
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Can do attitude
- Strong communication skills
- A love of mentoring and developing younger team members
