Are you an experienced payroll professional with a knack for detail and a passion for working with purpose? Midway is looking for a Part-Time Finance Officer – Payroll to join our dedicated finance team working a minimum of 60 hours a fortnight. About the Role
As the Finance Officer – Payroll, you’ll take the lead in managing the end-to-end payroll for over 250 employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness every fortnight. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you’ll also contribute to broader financial processes and help maintain the integrity of our financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
· End-to-end processing of fortnightly payroll for 250+ staff
· Reconciliation of PAYG, superannuation, and salary packaging
· Ensuring compliance with SCHADS Award and internal policies
· Providing timely support and advice to staff on payroll matters
· Supporting audits, financial reporting, and month-end processes
· Assisting with daily financial operations such as bank reconciliations and invoicing
What You Bring
· Tertiary qualification in Accounting or at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
· Proficiency in MYOB Acumatica (or other MYOB products)
· Excellent Excel skills and strong analytical ability
· A high level of accuracy, discretion, and confidentiality
· Experience with SCHADS Award and NFP sector (highly desirable)
· Eligibility to work in Australia;
· Ability to obtain a NDIS Clearance
