About us:
CQMHAODS provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas (catchments in excess of a population of 250,000) with services located in each area.
Rockhampton is the principal service centre and as such provides the administration of the Mental Health Act, 2016 , and is the location of the acute adult services including the Acute Care Team and inpatient facilities. In addition, there is an Adult Step-Up Step-Down facility located in Gladstone and an Adult Community Care Unit located in Rockhampton.
The Acute Care services provides a specialised mental health service, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for consumers of the Rockhampton and broader Central Queensland Hospital and Health Services areas.
About the role:
The Mental Health Clinician uses discipline specific clinical skills to deliver high quality specialist mental health care to consumers with mental illness or serious mental health problems and their families, in keeping with professional national and state requirements.
About you:
- The successful applicant must possess a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a current annual nursing practicing certificate Division One (1).
- A relevant postgraduate qualification is a requirement of this position. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion of the required post-graduate study within an agreed timeframe is expected and will form part of the performance review process.
- Appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 is highly desirable.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $131,900 is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
