About the role
Reporting to the Health, Safety and Environment Manager, this full-time Work Health and Safety Advisor role is located in Geraldton, WA and will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all employees at Oracle Energy. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in driving Oracle Energy's commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
What you'll be doing

Developing, implementing and reviewing health and safety policies, procedures and safe work practices

Conducting workplace inspections, hazard and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks

Investigating incidents and near misses, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence

Providing training and education to employees on health and safety requirements

Maintaining accurate health and safety records and reporting on key performance indicators

Collaborating with managers and employees to foster a positive safety culture

Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and regulations
What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field

5+ years' experience as a Work Health and Safety Advisor or similar role within the construction industry

Thorough understanding of health and safety legislation, regulations and best practices

Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities

Proficient in using safety management software and data analysis tools

Proactive, self-motivated and committed to continuous improvement
