As an Estimator/Purchasing Officer, your daily tasks will involve accurately and promptly preparing quotes for both private and insurance-related vehicles. You will communicate with customers, insurers, and assessors to ensure a seamless process. Utilising your trade qualification and experience with heavy vehicles, you will track the progress of jobs/parts and keep all parties informed.
Strong computer literacy is essential, as you will use our estimating software iBodyshop. Your excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask will play a vital role in our operations. As a key member of our team you will help ensure a smooth workflow from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities

Estimating both private and insurance-related vehicles

Providing timely and accurate estimates to customers and insurance companies

Ensuring a smooth process from start to finish

Manage the day-to-day operations of the parts/store department, ensuring efficient workflow and accurate reporting on the progress of orders by the team

Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and organising parts and accessories

Utilise computer systems and software to accurately track and manage inventory, pricing, and supplier and customer information

Provide timely and accurate advice regarding parts and accessories
What you'll need to bring
-
Estimating experience preferred but not essential
-
Experience in a similar role within the accident repair industry will be highly regarded
-
Ability to build relationships with customers and assessors

High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills

Parts interpreting experience, ideally with strong knowledge of heavy vehicle truck parts, accessories and brands

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities

Exceptional customer service skills, always approachable, solutions orientated

Effective leadership skills, with the ability to lead, support and motivate a team
-
Computer literacy including the ability to learn our computer system (iBodyshop)

Current Driver’s Licence

Current Forklift Licence (Preferred)

Ability to work without supervision, follow instructions and meet deadlines

Can adhere to workplace policies as well as WHS standard
