An exciting opportunity exists for a commercially savvy and results-driven Business Development Manager to join a high-growth, consumer goods brand in the baby and wellness category. With a footprint across Australia, New Zealand, and APAC markets, this business is known for its innovation, quality, and commitment to helping families thrive.
About the Role Reporting to the Head of APAC, you will manage a portfolio of key national retailers (including major baby chains, department stores, and online marketplaces) while supporting the growth of international distributors across the region. This is a hands-on role that blends strategic thinking, commercial negotiation, and data-driven sales management, with a strong focus on delivering revenue, profitability, and channel growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build and manage strong relationships with major retail accounts and APAC distributors
  • Drive go-to-market strategies and pricing plans to meet growth targets
  • Analyse sell-in/sell-out data to identify opportunities and improve performance
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and ensure compliance across key partnerships
  • Report on performance and KPIs including revenue, GP, and channel development
  • Support new product integration and trade execution
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, planning, and operations teams
About You
  • Proven experience managing major accounts in FMCG or consumer goods (grocery, pharmacy, department stores or specialty retail)
  • Experience with international distributor management across APAC highly regarded
  • Strong analytical skills – confident interpreting sales data and forecasting trends
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Highly commercial, customer-focused, and solutions-oriented
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Proficiency in Power BI and NetSuite (advantageous)
  • Sydney-based with full Australian working rights
