The location
Jabiru is the main township in the breathtaking Kakadu National Park. Just 250km east of Darwin, it has all the services you’re likely to need! When you are not working, it is the perfect base for exploring the magnificent natural sites, wetlands, nature walks and waterholes within the park!
Jabiru offers an array of facilities, including a: shopping centre, medical clinic and pharmacy, police station, library, service station (with workshop), nine-hole golf course, sports and social club, 50-metre swimming pool .
What does your day look like as Post Placement Support Officer?
You will provide specialised assistance to participants who have secured employment. You will work closely with the participant, employer, and Community Development Program (CDP) site staff to identify and address barriers and skill gaps. Your goal will be to create effective supports and interventions that ensure the job seeker’s retention in employment.
This position will be based in Jabiru, with travel to Gunbalanya 2 weeks out of the month.
