Municipal Employee - Open Space Biodiversity and Conservation 1.0FTE (Fixed-Term 1 July 2025 to 22 May 2026)

There’s no denying it – the City of Victor Harbor has some of South Australia’s best open spaces with unique coastal, river and hill habitats. We’re passionate about maintaining our parks, gardens and streetscapes for all to enjoy.
To assist with achieving our environmental and sustainability goals, we’re looking for a new employee to join our Open Space Team.
In this full-time position, you will play a hands-on role helping us improve biodiversity and conservation outcomes for Council’s parks and reserves. You’ll be primarily tasked with the on-ground implementation of key plans and projects.
What you’ll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be someone who:
- has knowledge of biodiversity and conservation principles
- is passionate about maintaining parks and reserves
- enjoys day-to-day general labouring, as well as strategic planning
- brings a positive attitude to team environments
